A prosthesis is an artificial part of the body that is custom made and used in place of the part that has been lost. The wish of every amputee is to receive a new limb that will be comfortable,  restore normal function, and have an acceptable appearance. Each patient requires a unique combination of fitting, functioning and cosmetic results. Our practitioners are experienced in a wide range of product choices which can match individual fit, function, and cosmetic requirements.

PROSTHETICS
ORTHOTICS

An orthotic  is a semi-rigid devices used for the purpose of supporting a weak or deformed body member or restricting or eliminating motion in a diseased or injured part of the body.  These devices may be custom, semi custom or off the shelf.

   

Our American Board Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist (CPO) and Florida State Licensed Prosthetis/Orthotist Practioner (LPO) evaluates and designs orthoses (braces) for patients requiring protective support or correction due to tissue/bone impairment, disease, or deformity. By utilizing our education and experience in biomechanics, gait analysis, kinesiology, pathology, materials science, research , and state of the art technology, the Prosthetist/Orthotist works to prevent or limit disability while restoring function.  Orthotic intervention benefits those with  strokes, muscular dystrophy, arthritis, spinal/cervical injuries, diabetes,  multiple sclerosis or sports related injuries.

 

Our practice is not limited to custom orthotics as we carry an array of off the shelf braces for the neck, spine, knee, and ankles.  We also have access to most brands and manufacturer of orthopedic braces.

ORTHOTICS
PEDIATRICS

Creative O&P is a member of the Association of Children's Orthotic Prosthetic Clinic and participates in children's clinics in Ft .Walton Beach and Crestview. 

 

Our services are necessary to limit the effects of challenges from birth or injuries such as cerebral palsy, plagiocephaly,  osteogenesis imperfecta, spina bifida, low muscle tone, malformation of the long bones, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.  Our services include:
